When I am looking for specialty and spectacularly tasty cocktails, I turn to Signature David’s David Brogan for amazing drinks– and he always surprises me with these fab drinks that are pretty easy to recreate and are so yummy!!
Here are 2 different cocktails– each perfectly suited for Easter Sunday brunch or dinner and ones that you should be assembling the ingredients now so you don’t have to worry about that between coloring eggs or getting dresses!
David has created Spring Awakening and Summer Solstice which are shown above.
Spring Awakening:
Freeze six to ten small cantaloupe and honeydew melon balls until completely frozen.
Place the frozen melon balls in the bottom of a tall glass.
Combine:
1 3/4 oz Vodka,
1/2 oz Melon Liqueur and a
splash of Triple Sec or Cointreau into a shaker full of ice and shake vigorously.
Strain into the glass over the frozen melon balls.
Top with Proseco or Champagne.
Sounds yummy, heavenly and absolutely perfect for any Easter or spring weekend (or anytime!)
Summer Solstice
Combine:
1 1/2 oz Vanilla Vodka,
1 oz White Cranberry juice and
1 oz Hypnotiq Liqueur in a shaker full of ice and shake well.
Strain into a tall glass.
Drop a splash of Grenadine into the cocktail until it rests on the bottom creating a second layer. ( Be careful in doing this. Think about sliding it down the side of the glass. The point is to NOT have it mix so much with the rest of the ingredients but be red from the bottom up)
Garnish with a cherry at the bottom of the glass.
This one sounds even more fabulous– and given that I have a LOT of Hpnotiq in my liquor cabinet, it’s an easy drink to make and definitely easy to drink.
Thank you to David Brogan for these tasty recipes!!
