So You Are On Facebook & Twitter– What Next? Sally Falkow & Chris Abraham Give You Tips!

So you are a working stiff and maybe you have a blog. Or maybe you have your own business and you have a page on twitter and facebook and wondering what to do next– and how to make them work for you. Well I could expound a long time (and my various clients have listened to me *step and repeat* on the same points but it’s easier and much more fun to listen to Sally Falkow, a woman who rocks social media and Chris Abraham (yes.. he’s ba–ack) talk about how to use this medium to energize your blog, website, Facebook and Twitter.
Sally Falkow, of Expansion Plus, who was recently named to the list of “25 Women Who Rock Social Media” and Chris Abraham of Abraham Harrison, who has been a top social media and technology strategist for over a decade, are going to be addressing the need for a strategy when diving into the waters for Social Media in this educational webinar. Many people have already set up their Twitter and Facebook accounts and are now unsure of how to navigate the tidal wave that social media has become. Tune in to gain insights into the importance of strategy and how to be strategic in order to stay afloat
Video created by Mary Anderson!

Social Media Strategy – Understanding the Need for One and the Consequences of NOT Having One. from Mary Anderson on Vimeo.

From a Marketing Conversation post entitled You’re Good Enough, You’re Smart Enough, and Doggone It, People Like You!”, , here’s a bit of what has to happen on your end of the conversation.

A little bit of fearlessness, a pinch of shamelessness, a cup of confidence, a pound of passion, and a kilo of preparedness is what you need to succeed.

More than just that quote, Falkow and Abraham (the biblical inference is not intended!) , talks about the social media gospel with a certain fervor and does give you the “ten commandments” on what to do and how to implement it. (sorry for the biblical reference Chris! It’s just a perfect fit.)
It’s definitely a must-see video because you learn alot but make sure the phone and other distractions are not around because this is one long video. Take some notes, embed this video on your blog– much like I have done– and ask for comments.
Because it is important to know what you are doing and create a checklist/strategy to get the entire circle connected– hence the term “social” media.
I always refer to it as a huge cocktail party: however you can walk out without having had much fun or knowing anyone or you can leave with several business cards and having made some new acquaintances.
Thanks to Sally Falkow and Chris Abraham for a highly instructive piece here. It’s definitely a winner!
