It’s very unusual to find changes in fragrance presentations that are so distinctive. Over the next few weeks, you will hear about a few of my favorites– starting with a video series on Atelier Cologne Absolue, a fragrance collection by Sylvie Ganter and Christophe Cervasel, both fragrance experts for very high-end companies and diverse brands.
Atelier Cologne Absolue crafts colognes of deep character, capturing vivid memories, emotions and actions into a singular scent. The master perfumers of Atelier Cologne Absolue blend unexpected and rare extracts with signature fresh citruses to create Cologne Absolues, concentrated formulas with distinctive and long-lasting sillage. With absolute essences of 12-20%, this is a step apart from typical colognes back to the original colognes that create a deeper perspective of the fragrance that are longer-lasting, more intense and evolve distinctly over time.
Grand Neroli,
The one we talked about for this video interview was Grand Neroli.. a rich, aromatic and sensuous fragrance that almost had me swooning.
A romantic ingenue; wraps elegant orange blossom flower around layers of clean herbal notes, warm musks and addictive brushstrokes of vanilla.
“The windows were thrown open to let in the afternoon sun, along with a breeze of orange blossoms. She secured fresh flowers into her hair and her eyes sparkled with excitement and anticipation. She had been a whirl of precise motion in her final preparation and took pause to dream about the moment to come.”
Cologne Absolue concentrated at 12%.
• Top notes: Moroccan neroli, lemon, Sicilian bergamot, petitgrain
• Heart notes: Persian galbanum, moss, birch leaves
• Base notes: clean musk, white amber, vanilla from Madagascar
