For those who are celebrating Easter, chocolate (or eggs) are the theme of the day. Personally I am not a fan of egg cocktails (not sure if there are too many of those- though I think a Ramos Fizz has egg whites).
So as a default — and personal choice, we are featuring a couple of great drinks from some great local establishments.
Wildfish Chocolate Mint Martini
INGREDIENTS:
1.5 oz. Grey Goose Vodka
.5 oz. Crème de Cacao
.5 oz. Rumplemintz
Measure all ingredients and pour into Tin Shaker over ice
Shake well (10 count)
Strain into stem.
Garnished with: Godiva Chocolate Shavings and a float of fresh mint leaf
Wildfish Seafood Grille (www.eddiev.com) – 1370 Bison Ave. Newport Beach, CA 92660
For those who want something simple yet sinful, here’s the Chocolate Stout Float.
One bottle of Young’s Double-Chocolate Stout
a single scoop of vanilla bean ice cream (choose your ice cream carefully. You want a rich vanilla)
a pirouette rolled wafer.
Get a tall glass, drop in the scoop of vanilla ice cream,
Pour the Double Chocolate Stout over the ice cream
Garnish with a pirouette rolled wafer
