As the 12 Drinks of Christmas (2014 edition) wind down, I am getting to the easy drinks. The rest of this upcoming weekend will be fancier and more complex but I am giving you a break with easy to find spirits and easy DIY recipes! These recipes are of the season and sure to please.

JACK DANIEL’S HONEY HOT TODDY
Hot Toddy is a popular option this time of year, especially in colder climates. Hot drinks make lots of sense across the country right now!
If you want to use Jack Daniels Honey- go for it. If you want to try WINTER JACK, go hunt it down. It’s a limited edition release from Jack Daniels
Jack Daniel’s Winter Jack is a seasonal blend of apple cider liqueur, Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey and holiday spices. Winter Jack is best served warm; it has an inviting aroma of warm apple cider, orange peel, cinnamon, clove and Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey.
Ingredients:
4 oz. hot water
lemon tea bags: 1 per serving
4 oz Jack Daniels Honey
Fresh lemons
Method:
Make a batch of lemon tea using 4 oz. hot water and 1 lemon tea bag.
Add 4 oz Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey to the hot lemon tea
Squeeze one fresh lemon, to taste.
WINTER CHILL
Ingredients:
2oz Altos Reposado
1oz Pineapple Juice,
1oz Unfiltered Apple juice (or Cider),
¾ oz Fresh Lime juice,
½ oz Cinnamon syrup to a mixing glass
Method:
Mix all ingredients well in a shaker filled with ice.
Strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass
Garnish with fresh ground nutmeg and a pineapple spear
MALIBU ISLAND SPICED CIDERTINI —
1 part Malibu Island Spiced
3 parts fresh cider
Fresh cinnamon stick
Method:
Wet the rim of a chilled martini glass and dip in cinnamon powder.
Mix liquids in shaker over ice, stain into a martini glass.
Garnish with a fresh cinnamon stick if desired.
PUMPKIN SPICE WHISKEY COCKTAIL —
Ingredients:
1 part Kahlúa Pumpkin Spice
1 part Jameson Irish Whiskey
Method:
Mix both ingredients in an ice-filled cocktail shaker till chilled and well-mixed.
Strain/pour into an old-fashioned glass with an ice cube.
JACK DANIEL’S EGG NOG
Ingredients:
(Want to really mix this recipe up? Try it with a very smooth silver or reposado tequila and use a peppermint liqueur or schnapps with it instead of the Tennesee Honey! What a rush on the tastebuds!)
4 oz. Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey
12 oz. Virgin egg nog. (non-alcoholic)
Cinnamon stick or freshly ground pumpkin pie spice.
Method:
Shake both ingredients together in a shaker filled with ice OR
Chill them both well and stir together in a glass.
Top with cinnamon stick or the ground spice!
Fast, tasty and easy to make; it doesn’t get any better than this! Happy sipping and enjoy your first weekend of 2015!

Never thought of using lemon tea bags in a hot toddy, but it does make sense! And looks delicious
The Jack Daniels Winter Jack is terrific. It’s almost like apple cider but with a distinct kick due to the spice and the liqueur and Jack. Quite tasty!
