The Film Independent Spirit Awards were held today as they always are since they come the day before the Oscars as a low-key, laid-back event that celebrates things less formally.
Where celebs can let their hair down or be casual in a way they aren’t always able to do.
This cocktail was offered to me for this Oscar season and I think it fit this awards show perfectly as well as the Oscars since there are SO MANY more films with an indie focus among the nominees this season.
Indie Darling
1.5 oz Pisco
.5 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
.5 oz Raspberry Gomme Syrup
1 dash Pernod Absinthe
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Top with 2 oz of Dry Sparkling Wine (think prosecco or any sort of dry-er sparkling wine)
This cocktail is really for those who like to try something unique. I would highly suggest it. The flavor is something special!
