Don’t miss this exceptional event at one of the classic LA restaurants in Southern California. Tam O’Shanter hosts a dinner + entertainment of Dicken’s Christmas for four special performances.!
Tam O’Shanter, a member of the Lawry’s family of restaurants and one of the oldest restaurants in Los Angeles, is delivering a holiday feast filled with special menus and Dickens-style entertainment for four special days in November.
The legendary restaurant’s Dickens Dinner experience will feature an evening show starting at 6:30pm on Monday, November 23 and Tuesday, November 24 ($96 adults, $69 children), and a matinee show starting at 1:00pm on Sunday, November 22 and Saturday, November 28 ($89 adults, $59 children).
Evening show:($96 adults, $69 children)
Monday, Nov. 23–6:30PM
Tuesday, Nov. 24–6:30PM
Matinee show: ($89 adults, $59 children)
Sunday, Nov. 22–1:00PM
Saturday, Nov 28–1:00PM
Selling out every year, the Tam’s Dickens Dinners are an interactive dining extravaganza with an acting troupe that performs a family-friendly version of the Charles Dickens’ classic, A Christmas Carol. The actors are resplendent in 19th century Victorian costumes, while carolers, with stovepipe hats and long-tail coats, also join the scene. The Tam itself transforms into a Yuletide wonderland with a giant Christmas tree, candy-red poinsettias, glittery wreaths, brick-red fireplace, and more festive decorations to make you think you’re in the North Pole instead of Los Feliz.
The Tam’s Executive chef Juan Escamilla will prepare a special four-course meal in honor of the event. The special menu will include:
· Hors d’oeuvres
· First course of mixed greens, pecans, butternut squash, pomegranate seeds, and a cognac dressing
· Delicious entrée options:
prime rib, roasted goose, salmon w/parsnip puree, beluga lentils and bordelaise sauce, vegetarian winter squash with goat cheese mousse
· Dessert (mincemeat (figs, raisins and dates) with vanilla ice cream and bourbon caramel sauce)
“Nothing symbolizes the holidays more than Dickens and the Tam,” says John Lindquist, General Manager of Tam O’Shanter. “This is the best way to escape L.A.’s heat and enjoy a proper holiday experience. It’ll transport you back in time and fill your heart with joy!”
Also not to be missed: the wall of scotch in the restaurant!! Worthy of a couple of after-dinner sips!

How fabulous! The wall of scotch will be appreciated by the holiday makers, no doubt. It is fun to be able to taste without buying a whole bottle.
