Summer is definitely on the way out the door. While those on the “right coast” think fall is here, those of us on the “left coast” think this weekend might be the last hurrah for summer 2017. Yet the calendar says we are fully in FALL! So the advent of fall deserves a toast (or two) and I have the most amazing cocktails. The Delios Delight is different from the others but refreshing in a way that will have you relaxed! All of these recipes have a bit of a festive kick, and -thankfully- it’s not just the pumpkin spice talking. Fall is upon us, and as the seasons change, so does our preference on what we want to be sipping on for the autumn festivities.
DELIOS DELIGHT
Ingredients:
– 3 oz. Fos Mastiha
– 3 oz. apple cider
– Splash of fresh lemon juice
– Garnish with 1 apple slice and a cinnamon stick
Method:
Using a nice medium tumbler filled with ice, pour in the liquids- except lemon juice.
Mix well!
Add splash next!
Garnish with cinnamon and apple!
Nothing says Fall like a little Pumpkin Spice:
Ménage a Trios Pumpkin Spice Martini
Ingredients:
2 parts Ménage a Trois Vodka
1 part Fulton’s Pumpkin Cream Liqueur
Method:
Mix over ice and strain into a Martini glass.
The Baked Apple 46
Created by Cody Goldstein – Founder of Muddling Memories and Head Bartender at Upholstery Store: Food and Wine
Ingredients:
2 parts Maker’s 46
½ part Apple Brandy
¼ part Cinnamon Syrup
2 Dashes Baked Apple Bitters
Smoked Cinnamon Stick, to garnish
Lemon Twist, to garnish
Method:
Fill rocks glass with ice and set aside. Combine Maker’s 46, Apple Brandy, Cinnamon Syrup and Apple Bitters into a mixing glass. Fill with ice and stir for 10 seconds. Empty out rocks glass with ice. Take a lighter and heat the end of the cinnamon stick. When it start to smoke rim it around the inside of the glass. Strain into the rocks glass with a 2 inch ice cube. Zest a lemon twist and put it inside.
