I have always been a beauty junkie. I particularly like trying new products for hair because I am particular about what is used on my hair. I had problems when I was growing my hair really long and I was just discovering the problem of parabens and “cones” (products with lots of silicone ingredients like dimethicone). Over the past few years, I have become extremely picky about what I use, because it affects the look and manageability of my hair. It’s harder if you have curls. I can tell you that the ‘bad hair days’ are due to me using the products that are heavy on the synthetic chemicals. My hair prefers more natural ingredients but often those products are pricey. However, I found a product and brand that I really love for the quality of the natural ingredients as well as how well it performs on my hair.
I am part of a website called Hubba.com that connects buyers, brands, and influencers with each other. It enables newer brands to get wider visibility. One person can contact another directly. It’s a really interesting – and useful- platform. Through this platform, I have met many people and their brands. One of those brands is Apothecuryous. You can check out the site here: https://apothecuryous.com/
Disclosure: I was provided samples to use for a review! The samples don’t make me biased. They give me the ability to tell you more authentically how something works. Without samples, there would be no review.
About Apothecuryous:
With a deep belief that the Earth provides everything we need, Apothecuryous draws upon the strengths of various elemental and organic sources to create its products.
–Apothecuryous was founded in 2015 by Tatiana Boland in the interest of creating premium products using recognizable and/or food-grade ingredients, in personal body care.
–Apothecuryous is committed to providing complete ingredients lists and information about various materials used for all products, in an effort to educate consumers, and help them make informed decisions based on their own unique needs.
–Certified Organic ingredients are used as much as possible in formulations. Certified Organic ingredients used include herbs, carrier oils, butters, beeswax, seaweed, essential oils, apple cider vinegar, honey, and vodka (for tinctures).
–Apothecuryous is committed to providing premium products without the premium pricing. Natural body care should be accessible to anyone who values it.
Her product collection is right in tune with the premise of her brand which includes skin, hair, body and oral care products!
Her product mix is unique, interesting and pretty specific.
When I connected to Tatiana Boland, she offered me two products to try which I got to choose:
Review of Rhassoul Clay Hair Cleanser
This cleanser is NOT a shampoo. A shampoo is often made of detergents that strip out your natural oils which then causes your scalp to go into overdrive to produce more oil- not something that you really want happening to your scalp
The great part about the clay cleanser is that you get to select the “floral waters” and “essential oils” included in the cleanser. That’s the hard part since you need to chose from both categories and each category has amazing varieties from which to select.
I was fascinated by the Rhassoul Clay Cleanser. I had heard of this type of cleanser before but had never tried it. I couldn’t resist trying it.
And as much as I wanted to use it and love it, it didn’t work for me. This product is not for fine hair. It’s really more suited for thicker, coarser hair. While I have fine hair and lots of it, it doesn’t grab onto products easily. I applied almost half the bottle I was sent in the first two uses. I loved the scent of it, but clearly wasn’t meant for my hair type. If you have thicker and/or denser hair like coarse hair, you will love this shampoo.
I wanted to love it. It just didn’t love me!
Review of The Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse
The Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse was the other product I got to try and this one turned out to be such a godsend. I used it the first time and could not believe the results. Soft hair with more reflective (shiny) qualities. My scalp and hair felt remarkably clean. I choose the Normalizing formula which is a great one to start out with. Once you try the normal you can figure out what your hair needs- if anything- from the 5 options Apothecuryous sells.
Application tips: Once you apply the rinse, work it through your hair either with your hands or comb and massage gently into the scalp. Leave it on for about 5-7 minutes approximately. The amount of time you leave it on may vary from one application to the next based on how often you are using it. It’s one of those products you can use once a week or three times a week. It’s up to your hair’s product build-up and you how often you use it.

The one thing I would suggest about the ACV Rinse is to add a pump/spray dispenser top. I found that pouring it into my hair was not always the efficient to getting it to all parts of my hair. I tried pouring it into my hands to apply and it worked better, but still, I lost some of the ACV.
This lack of a pump spray dispenser should not stop you from buying this great rinse. I found empty pump/spray dispenser containers selling on Amazon for very reasonable prices- thus I would suggest you get one from Amazon or your local beauty supply store-whichever is more convenient. You will find it more manageable to apply the rinse without seeing it go down the drain accidentally.
You might think you could find another similar product for less, but I have already done that legwork. I found nothing similar for equal or less money. I recently did a review on a similar product that had a spray pump bottle that sells for significantly more money ($29) for half the amount of product (4 oz). The spray/pump container doesn’t cost that much to add and you can buy the smaller container (8 oz) from Apothecuryous for less money! Apothecuryous also has a 16 oz bottle she sells too- and that’s still less money than that other product I have reviewed. It’s a winner hair product no matter how you look at it. And I looked long and hard to find competitors.
—For all you DIY-ers out there, yes you could try to create your own blend, but it would take you months to nail down the right ingredients and the correct proportions of each – making this an expensive DIY project. Skip the DIY on this product and go with Apothecuryous. It’s worth the money and the product will blow you away with how great it is. Boland worked hard at creating very specific herbal blends.
Herb-specific infused apple cider vinegar rinse before filtering (meaning the herbs are still in it)
–And in case you want something more customized, Apothecuryous has that product option too: Individual Herb-Infused Vinegar Hair Rinse. You can choose up to four different herbs to blend in for 8 oz of rinse for $17.50. That’s a pretty terrific option and you can see what the customized version looks like above prior to filtering out the herbs.
I would highly recommend you check out the entire online store products before you submit an order ! You will find an interesting array of products that you just might find you need. There’s a lot to look at and a lot to try.

Thank you to Apothecuryous and Tatiana Boland for her patience and all the information and discussion about my product experience. It was so educational. I haven’t gotten that much information from one person in a long time. This is a great store and the products are remarkably good – going far beyond what I expect from natural products ( and I expect a lot)

Any personal experience do you have with these? Actually, I am looking for some kind of Hair tonic, As I am having heavy Hairfall 🙁
Hello!
I guess you missed my REVIEW of the products. I wrote the review on both products. The Clay cleanser is good for specific hair types. I find it was too much for my fine hair. But would be good for thicker or more textured hair. It would remove oil and cleanse the scalp well
The Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse is amazing. You can choose from several varieties. You should check the site out and look at the options. If you are unsure, contact Tatiana. She’s incredibly knowledgeable
I just bought a 16 oz refill of the ACV rinse and I LOVE it. I used it today. Gorgeous hair now that I used that.
Contact Apothecuryious for help in finding the right tonic or cleanser
Good luck
Hello Sandeepa, I tried sending you an email but never got a reply. This is a great product. I have reviewed in within the context of the piece. The review is close to the bottom.
I loved the product enough to buy a larger container!
