Digital Dog's Janet Planet Talks about Oscar Winners & Losers!
Gather.com is the residence for Hollywood P.O.V written by Digital Dogs (nom de plume for Janet Planet!) and the Gather.com Movie Correspondent. While we never connected during my tenure as Gather.com Movie Correspondent along with Digital Dogs, it was her outreach to me that got us talking and thus creating a podcast (or 2) about the Oscars.
So sit down and prepare to hear the female version of the Siskel & Ebert type of movie review –only we talk about the key categories of the Oscars and who won, who didn’t and who should have even been nominated. It’s a long podcast– but then again, the Oscars was a long show– and we aren’t nearly as long (or poorly done) as that show.
The entire point here is to talk about what gets nominated, why it gets nominated — and how the various movies were presented while in theaters. We are two women who definitely watch movies, have distinct opinions and as Digital Dogs has access to screenings and screeners that I don’t have for some movies, I still had opinions about what I saw and didn’t see– or is on my Netflix list.

Part 1 is about Best Picture and we work into Best Actor too.
