50 Cent to Attend + Play in Orange County Golf Tournament November 6
Cigar and Spirits Magazine, the Orange County-based national men’s luxury lifestyle and culture bible features an exclusive cover story on rapper, actor, producer and entrepreneur 50 Cent in its November issue. This issue wasreleased digitally Friday, October 30, 2020 and is on newsstands and out to subscribers November 10.
The publication is making a free excerpt of the interview available for fans on Friday, October 30 available on their web site: https://cigarandspirits.com. The online preview includes a reveal of several alternate cover shots from the issue showcasing the work of renowned celebrity photographer, John Russo.
The interview and story is a sprawling examination of 50 Cent’s life lessons and successes. Cigar & Spirits Magazine Editor-in-Chief Randy Mastronicola begins,
“50 Cent has endured as one of the most dynamic musical artists of his generation. He emerged on the hip-hop landscape with 2003’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’, an album that changed his life forever. Known formally as Mr. Curtis James Jackson, III, 50 Cent became a hip-hop icon, and would go on to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with some of the greatest artists in his genre, including Dr. Dre, Jay-Z and Eminem. He is lauded for his pithy cut-to-the-bone lyric style, his versatility as a rapper and his dangerous persona. The energy 50 Cent brings to his compositions informs his musical endeavors, as well as the worlds he has entered as an actor, author, television producer and entrepreneur.”
And, being Cigar and Spirits Magazine, 50 Cent is a connoisseur of the magazine’s two stated pleasures: cigars and spirits. He has his own spirits company, Sire—named for his son—with two brands: Branson Cognac and Chemin Du Roi Champagne. It was also revealed that 50 is a passionate enthusiast who enjoys an array of premium cigars.

Why those two brands?
“Cognac was always a presence for me, growing up. Hennessy, Rémy Martin. Those things were constantly around. I went toward cognac because it’s one of those things you would consistently see in nightlife. People would have that as a choice. Even outside of those venues, they would choose that. So I chose it because I knew that the demographic would be into it, and it’s worked out very well. You see cognac, you see champagne, you see tequila out there. It’s like you’re not having a good time out there if you’re not drinking any of those three.”
The champagne, Le Chemin du Roi, means “The King’s Path” in French, and retails for between $150-$300 a bottle.
“I associate champagne with a victory, a celebration, a birthday or something,” he explains. “It’s something that’s happening that you want to really enjoy. You’ll see athletes spraying champagne when celebrating a championship. Champagne was always a cool thing to me.”
Cigar & Spirits Magazine selected the Epic Maduro Fuerte for the photo session and social media interview with the magazine’s CEO & Publisher, Lincoln Salazar. The cigar paired perfectly with 50 Cent’s Branson Cognac. The combination enhanced a thoroughly enjoyable day talking about life, cigars and spirits.
Thanks to Cigar and Spirits for sharing some of the 50 Cent interview and all the other details in this great interview. DON’T miss the Golf event! It’s happening on November 6. It’s definitely worth registering for if you love playing golf!!
