Feast Kicks Off $10 Meal Challenge to Share Healthy, Affordable Nutrition
with Underserved Communities!

This non-profit is gathering the best and brightest from the food community
to fundraise and create nourishing recipe ideas for families of four on a $10 budget!
From October 25 – November 8, the celebrated non-profit FEAST will run a virtual competition on Instagram to show the world it is possible to create vibrant, delicious, and healthy meals even with limited resources.
While people in low-income households often have to rely on convenient and affordable meal options, FEAST maintains that good food and good health should not be a luxury, which is why all the recipes they teach in their Wellness Program are under $10.
—Each participant in the challenge will create a dish that can feed a family of four for $10 or under,
—The result will be judged on nutritiousness, creativity, and presentation.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to engage our audience in a fun challenge with real impact,” said Executive Director Dana Rizer. “Our FEAST community members benefit greatly from easy-to-follow, nutritious recipes, and the money raised will not only feed, but nourish families for months to come.”
Two winning recipes from each category will be featured in a cookbook for FEAST families to make affordable, flavorful recipes at home.
