Krigler’s Love Affair with Camellias!
The camellia was the favorite flower of Albert Krigler, founder of the family fragrance house.
He was reportedly so enamored of the chic, fragrant blooms, he placed camellias in vases all around his fragrance laboratory—and had his atelier walls painted with camellia flowers. Albert was also known to wear a camellia flower tucked into the lapel of his jacket.
Albert’s love of the camellia was so well-documented that, in 2009, when the House of Krigler was celebrating its 105th anniversary, Ben Krigler, Albert’s great-great-grandson and the current head of the fragrance house, created a scent that paid homage to Albert’s beloved bloom: Extraordinaire Camelia
