Are You READY for the Weekend?
Maybe you are having a party or going to someone else’s home for a barbeque. No matter what you are doing (…or not doing);
now is a great time to figure out what cocktails you want to have for your weekend and stock up on mixers (try Betty Buzz mixers!!)
Here is a list of SEVEN great cocktails that Patrón, Grand Marnier, and Campari shared with me.
PATRÓN Añejo Highball
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Patrón Añejo
- 5 oz Club soda
- + Orange twist
Method:
- Fill a highball or collins glass with ice –the clearest and coldest available.
- Add Patrón Añejo and club soda,
- Stir gently from the bottom up.
- Garnish with an expressed orange peel.
PATRÓN Reposado and Soda
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Patrón Reposado
- 3 oz Soda
- + Lime wedge for garnish
Method:
- Combine ingredients in an ice-filled highball glass and stir.
- Garnish with a lime wedge.
PATRÓN Perfect Paloma
Ingredients: (Stevie’s Note: I love Paloma cocktails!)
- 1.5 oz Patrón Reposado
- 3 oz Fresh grapefruit juice
- .5 oz Agave syrup (1:1)
- .5 oz Fresh-squeezed lime juice
- 1 oz Sparkling water
- + Sugar and salt for rimming
- + Grapefruit wedge for garnish
Method:
- Combine all ingredients except sparkling water in a shaker tin and shake with ice to chill.
- Strain onto fresh ice in a sugar and salt-rimmed collins glass.
- Top with sparkling water and garnish with a grapefruit wedge.
Grand Margarita
Ingredients:
- 1 part Grand Marnier® Cordon Rouge
- 1 part Tequila
- .5 part Fresh Lime Juice
- Ice cubes
- Lime Garnish
Method:
Fill a wide, shallow dish with 2-3 mm of fine salt.
Cut a lime in half at the width and rub around half of the rim of a margarita glass.
Cut a thin, crosswise slice from one of the lime halves for garnish.
Holding the glass upside down, dip wet half delicately into the salt.
Shake Grand Marnier, tequila, and lime juice with ice in a cocktail shaker.
Strain into glass and apply lime garnish to the rim.
Grand Tonic
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge
- Tonic water
- Ice cubes
- Orange slice
- Raspberry garnish
Method:
- Place ice cubes in a balloon glass
- Add Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge.
- Top with tonic water and stir well,
- Then add the orange slice and raspberry garnish to the cocktail.
Americano
Ingredients:
- 1 part (1 oz) Campari
- 1 part (1 oz) Cinzano 1757 Rosso Vermouth di Torino
- Splash of soda water
Method:
- Pour the ingredients directly into an old-fashioned glass filled with ice cubes,
- Add a splash of soda water,
- Garnish with orange slice and lemon peel.
Classic Campari Negroni
Ingredients:
- 1 part Campari
- 1 part 1757 Vermouth di Torino Rosso
- 1 part Bulldog Gin
Method:
- Pour all the liquids into a shaker filled with ice.
- Shake well for about 45 seconds,
- Then pour it into the rocks glass
- Garnish with an orange slice or twist
The Jasmine
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz Bulldog Gin
- 1/4 oz Campari
- 1/4 oz Grand Marnier
- 3/4 oz Fresh lemon juice
- Garnish: Lemon twist
Method:
- Add all of the ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake to chill.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Garnish with a lemon twist.
