Marie Bargas from StyleCoven scooped me in attending the Pamper Me Fabulous event in Downtown LA!
“Women are a tremendous source of strength,” remarked Amanda Ma, co-founder of Pamper Me Fabulous, “This event is our way of honoring, recognizing and rewarding the achievements of women during Women’s History Month. The event was created for women by women, where we bring all things women love to one location, making it convenient and accessible for girlfriends, mothers, daughters and colleagues to gather at a swanky and engaging platform and take in some “me” time.”
As part of the programming, lifestyle personalities like Food Network’s Aida Mollenkamp or HGTV’s Kahi Lee providedl advice on feng shui fashion and artisan/organic living to daily inspiration in The Expert Corner. Guests toned their minds and bodies by taking part in pilates or sculpting classes from wellness trainers at Terranea Resort and Spa and Reebok at The Fitness Area.

Last week’s Fashion Week hoopla was lackluster to say the least! Not enough shows and gift bags that reminded everyone that the Recession is upon us. Well, thank my lucky stars and garters I went to “Pamper Me Fabulous” in downtown Los Angeles. Sure, my phone died. An irritating little drizzle transformed my already unruly hair into an explosion of rockstar curls. And seriously, I was in a rush to see what I could see and get home to fix my phone, but… the gift bag was good
Not a too big or too small T-shirt in the mix and products that I actually can use. Here’s the biggest compliment. After getting home and emptying out the swag on the kitchen table my fiance, who hates everything girly, pinched the joint juice and the gummy vitamins before I could say a word.
What is the world coming to?
The best part about the event? It’s for a good cause. Step Up Women’s Network is the charity beneficiary, and the nonprofit is dedicated to mentorship and providing resources for teens and women.
