I happen to like the Beverly Hills Color Bar quite a bit. I had to get up there for an appointment with Stevey but also realized I wanted to talk to Malcolm McAlpine about the smoothing treatments since he has a considerable conversation about the different treatments for smoothing hair– and the first time I had been there, it was really interesting. Since I managed to get up to LA (*and that was a reshuffle of my schedule — not because of them, but because my schedule kept changing), I wanted to get Malcolm on the radar about this because people — like me– wonder what are the brands that work and are safe to use on coarse hair or on fine hair and is there a difference in brands on the market to get you smooth, glossy hair?

I like that Keratin Complex Smoothing treatment has created a lot more products and treatments to work with different hair types and those particularly who have gone into the blonde arena where the hair is more delicate. Definitey worth checking out. I paid for a “Brazilian treatment” and I can’t say I was overly impressed or that my hair was shiny for very long. Maybe it was the salon or maybe it was the treatment. However I could smell the whiff of unpleasant chemicals and it did more damage and required MORE hair cutting than I had planned. It did wear off quicker though I was washing my hair less than what I was doing with Keratin Complex–which means considering what I spent, I got less bang for my buck and shorter term results.
You might want to check out this brand– and if you do, Beverly Hills Color Bar is a GREAT place to go because they are careful about which products to use!
