Tom Will Send 30 Thousand Shoes to Ethiopian Kids if YOU Help Him Sell 30 Thousand Shoes HERE !!

It’s holiday day and yes the economy isn’t great here. Imagine what it’s like for those who live without the basic necessities of clean clothes or even a pair of shoes. Now you can help those in need in Ethiopia get shoes–maybe even their first pair of shoes! Beyond getting a simple pair of footwear, it also helps the children stay healthy because by being barefoot, they can contract avoid Podoconiosis which is a swelling of the feet, and legs and is completely preventable by simply wearing shoes!

There is a contest sponsored by TomsShoes.com and LA-Story and my blog on gather.com are part of it. The Holiday Blogger Challenge is to help raise awareness about the 30k in 30 days campaign. The campaign aims to give 30,000 Ethiopians a pair of TOMS Shoes in the span of one month..
It has been the policy for every pair of Toms Shoes sold in the US, TOMS donates a pair to children in third world countries so it’s a big task but we’re determined to make it.

Tom’s Shoes was created by Blake Mycoskie based upon his life-altering experiences in South America and seeing so many children in need — having very little in the way of clothing and having no shoes. His experiences led him to create Tom’s Shoes

Here’s the gig– and it’s sort of a contest– with the prize being that we all help get 30 thousand shoes out to children in Ethiopia. Th contest is who gets the most people to buy shoes and thus are donating the most shoes for Ethiopian children. It’s easy, it’s fast and most of all, it’s giving to those who have “nothing” and it’s all because you bought a pair of shoes for yourself or for someone else.

What do I get out of it?
The satisfaction of helping others (yeah, really I do feel that way and have been involved in programs like this before)
I am asking YOU– yes you who are reading this post right now to go online to TomsShoes.com and buy a pair of shoes.
