While you are working out, getting fit, trim, healthy and all that, there’s always that thought that maybe some new duds would help the process. After all, wearing that baggy tee or sweatshirt isn’t going to really do much for your self image though it does wipe up a lot of sweat.
Browsing the net, I found several bargain pieces that would do double duty as workout wear, loungewear, casual and outerwear– and they are on sale!
For those who need or want that extra layer of warmth (inside or outside the house), check out this find from Old Navy! This faux sherpa-lined vest is only $18!! It’s washable too which makes the deal even sweeter. This bright green color will layer over other spring colors or neutrals.
if you want a less fltted vest with a bit more wearability throughout the year (and with more colors -both solid and print) check out this cute zip front jacket that I think is really stellar in the print that I have shown here.
This is available from OldNavy.com, comes in 5 colors and costs less than $20.00
Where not to scrimp:
Workout bras are a necessity– regardless of shape or length and an item you don’t skimp on! If you can find one that fits well on sale, buy a couple.
Another spot NOT to scrimp is in the area of shoes. Unless your fave workout shoe is being discontinued (thus a mark-down) or they have something very similar in an odd color, don’t settle for shoes on sale. Get shoes that have lots of support, fit well and great cushioniing. Your feet — and your body– will thank you for it.
Tops are important because you need something to wick sweat. Old Navy has some great tops. Typically women like longer tops because they cover more body. Here’s a great active tank in a pink/white combo (solids available too) from OldNavy.com
Retail: $16.50
For creative types who want to mix up the color and/or layer on more tanks for warmth or just for fun, Gap has a great bargain right now on ribbed tanks which happen to range from $8-$14.50 EACH in a rainbow of colors (lower price points are limited sizes.
Hit OldNavy.com for similar tanks (and more) at price points from $5-14.50. A great deal!
If you want more color or basics in your wardrobe, the Gap has some items on markdown and others drastically on sale! These stretch cotton capris in basic black would be a perfect fit for workouts and transitional spring wear for less than 25.00
Also if you like longer yoga-type pants, you can find a slew of them at OldNavy.com . These fold-over yoga pants
have contrasting/coordinating brighter colors that are going to be fabulous for spring and summer. So buy now because they are under $20.00
Other fitness bargains you might want to check out include other sites like lululemon, nike, reebok, department stores, barenecessities.com, athletica, and title nine.
Shefinds.com did a great piece on bargain fitness wear.
