AMERICANA SOUL DUO, Freddy & Francine!
Sounds kind of crazy but this “reunion meets residency” at the Hotel Cafe is a HOT, haute ticket!
This residency marks the official reunion of the duo ending a three-year hiatus to the demand and delight of their extremely loyal fanbase. Performing at Hotel Cafe on January 17, 24 and 31, 2015 at 9pm, Freddy & Francine will feature special guests and introduce new songs from a new album planned for release in 2015.
With fans nationwide clamoring for their return, Freddy & Francine (stage names for Lee Ferris and Bianca Caruso) felt compelled to return to the stage, announcing their official musical reunion with performances at Hotel Cafe for three Saturdays in January.

Recorded by Noah Needleman
Percussion by Michael Duffy
Favorably compared to The Lumineers, Civil Wars, Ray Lamontagne and Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Freddy & Francine is the stage name of artists Lee Ferris (guitar, vocals) and Bianca Caruso (vocals) who met in Los Angeles while performing in a 2007 production of the musical HAIR. As Freddy & Francine’s fan-base grew to sold out shows, the pair grew romantically involved and their chemistry off stage spilled into their music striking a chord both with the media and with music fans. Hits Magazine described their live set as “captivating”, and their song “Brownstone Alley” was named TOP TUNE on KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic.
Though fans were naturally drawn to the duo calling their live shows “mesmerizing and electrifying”, the complicated nature of their romantic relationship led to their eventual break up both personally and musically.
With one EP and two full-length albums under their belts, and a three-year break behind them, Freddy & Francine are back by popular demand, hitting the live music circuit in L.A. with a three-week residency at Hotel Cafe.

We are the West reminds me of Chris Isaacs..cool sound
I like We Are the West’s indie vibe too. It’s a mellow kind of thing. I need to hear more though!
I’m wondering if there will be a big folk revival. I was in a coffee shop in London the other night and there was a little spontaneous folk performance…
Spontaneous is so awesome. Makes you never want to leave!
I think that it’s a niche area that hasn’t died but didn’t get publicity either. Check out JayNash.com to listen to his music (indie/alt/folk) or check out his latest single. He’s hot hot HOT as an indie artist. http://youtu.be/C_L0mU1vhgY( his latest video). He’s the epitome of this newest genre mash-up.
