LA-STORY.com’s contributing editor, DENNIS STOKELY, dishes all-things-hair in his expert breakdown of the most glamorous and trendsetting looks from the Emmy’s 2015 red-carpet that salons from coast-to-coast will be re-creating this Fall!
There is nothing better than Dennis Stokely’s red carpet commentary (unless it’s Dennis and I talking about it on the phone and finding that his top picks list matches mine (or mine matches his!). We welcome Dennis Stokely’s “Top 5 Hair Styles of the Emmys 2015! ( PS, note Dennis’ choice of #hashtags!)

Here are my 5 favorite looks! #bobsrule #ladygagagoesglam
#5
SARAH HYLANDA gorgeous bob with loose, messy curls, lots of volume at the root and haircolor with multiple dimensions of wheat, beige, honey and pal blonde add up to perfection, Sarah looks ravishing!
A wonderful deconstructed updo with a tri-black headband that plays off the corseting effect of her dress. A well thought out look from her glam-squad to make her look cohesive from head to toe, Julianne looks fab!
#3
KERRY WASHINGTONA gently pinned bob, exposing her long neck and leaving her shoulder embellishment to shine. Kerry looked more youthful and sophisticated than some red-carpet co-stars half her age, Kerry rocks!
#2
TARAJI P. HENSONAn A-line bob that stuns the red-carpet! One of the most popular haircuts of the last 50 years is also one of the hardest to get right. It is all about the length of the hair at the nape of the neck in relation to the angle of the haircut toward the front. Taraji’s bob is an instant red-carpet classic and will be copied (albeit, good luck stylists!) countless times in the upcoming Awards Season.
Lady Gaga continues to push herself into a softer, more refined counter-image from her garish past looks and the results keep getting better. Her Julie Andrews tribute look at the Oscars earlier this year was a refreshing introduction to the softer-side-of-Gaga and her walk down the Emmys red-carpet was a complete embracing of a new signature style for her. A deep-parted bob, with what looks to be her natural hair, and a flawless blowout is the winner of the red-carpet!
