Falling into Autumn with Great New Cocktails from NOLET’s, Russell’s Reserve + Patrón!
Now that summer is almost “officially” over (though here in Los Angeles, it won’t be over till at least mid-October), it’s time to think about shifting into fall. For me, the first thing I think of is sweaters, boots, and coats. For others, they think about tires and making sure their car is in perfect shape for the upcoming fall and winter. For others, it’s all about updating what they will be drinking!
Thanks to the brands featured here, I have a few recipes for cocktails that really speak to the falling leaves, cooler nights and shorter days: NOLET’S Dry Gin, Russell’s Reserve 10 year old Bourbon, Patron Extra Anejo!
NOLET’S Silver Apple Cider Punch
Ingredients:
750 ml NOLET’S Silver Dry Gin
2.25 L Fresh Apple Cider
2 Whole Lemons, Juiced
Lemon Wheels
Green Apple Wheels
Method:
Add all ingredients to a punch bowl with a large ice block.
Stir well to combine.
Serve over ice in a rocks glass and garnish with a thin slice of green apple.
Russell’s Reserve Boulevardier
Ingredients:
1 oz. Russell’s Reserve 10-Year-Old Bourbon
1 oz. Campari
1 oz. Cinzano 1757 Vermouth
Orange slice, for garnish
Method:
Combine Russell’s Reserve 10 Year Old Bourbon, Campari, and vermouth in a cocktail shaker.
Fill with ice and shake vigorously until the outside of shaker is frosty (about 30 seconds).
Strain into a chilled rocks glass over a large ice cube.
Garnish with orange slice.
EL PADRINO
Ingredients:
2 oz Patrón Extra Anejo
.5 oz Smoked Pineapple Reduction
2 dashes Barrel Aged bitters
3 dashes Tiki Bitters
Method:
Stir ingredients and strain over a large ice cube with dehydrated orange and a bitters-soaked pineapple triangle on a skewer.
These cocktails are terrific for brunch or autumn tailgating. Invite family and friends over for a party and serve one (or all) of these cocktail recipes!
